After the passing of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act in 1987, each state has to approve cna training programs and also maintain a database of CNA certifications disbursed. The curriculum for CNA training in Arizona (AZ) is approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. As per the state law CNA training in AZ should be for at least 120 hours as compared to 75 hours in most other states.
