CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) is a fast growing profession and many health establishments across the country are having a shortage of these personnel. CNA training is available in each state and has to be approved by a competent authority of that state. CNA training in Arkansas (AR) has to be approved by Department of Human Services and the competency exam for CNA certification has to be held by Prometric.

A candidate who has successfully completed an approved CNA training in Arkansas  must clear the CNA certification exam held by Prometric within 12 months. The candidate is allowed a total of three attempts to pass this exam. A candidate who is unable to pass this exam  after 3 attempts within a year, will have to go through the whole training program again and also reappear for the examination under the same set of conditions.

Certain approved centers of CNA training in AR are also qualified to perform  the competency CNA certification test. If the center where the candidate receives his training is not qualified to give the CNA exam than the person will need to take it at any one of thePrometric  sites.

CNA training in AR is for a minimum of 75 hours which includes classroom as well as the practical hands-on training.
