CNAs are one of the most sought after professionals in the health care industry, and this profession is known to be recession-proof. In fact the demand for CNAs is predicted to increase in the coming years. Every state has its own set of laws governing the CNA training programs and the way qualified CNAs get registered.   CNA training programs in Illinois (IL) have to be approved by Illinois Department of Public Health and have to be for a minimum of 75 hours as in most states. The duration is divided into theoretical classroom education and practical hands-on clinical training in patient care.

The candidate aspiring to become a CNA in IL has to first complete the approved CNA training in IL and then pass the Illinois CNA certification exam.
