CNA Training in Michigan (MI)

All the states in United States are required by law to approve the various training CNA programs running in their state and also have a database of the CNA licenses in their state. The programs of CNA training in Michigan have to get the approval from Department of Community Health. The duration of these programs should not be less than 75 hours and should comprehensively cover all the topics which are there in the approved curriculum.

CNA training in MI as in all other states will be divided into two components. There will be classroom training for all the theoretical topics and also classes which teach practical hands-on skills in patient care. An approved CNA training programs in MI must teach 51 skills of certain tasks of nursing and patient care. This training should take place in a clinical setting with actual patients, most probably in a long term health care facility, and the training has to be under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse.

There are currently no online CNA training programs in MI which have gotten the approval of Department of Community Health. There are about 200 traditional programs of CNA training in MI which have been approved and the candidate after completing any of these programs should appear for a state exam for CNA certification in MI. After clearing this exam the candidate also needs to clear a check on criminal background before being eligible to seek employment as a CNA in the state.

Pleasant, American Medical Careers and Ross Medical Education Center in Flint, Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield, Everest Institute in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids, Career Health Studies in Eastpointe and Ray of Hope LLC Training Center in Midland.
