The boom in the health care industry has created a lot of vacancies in the nursing field. Many health establishments are now depending on CNAs (Certified Nurse Assistants) to provide routine daily care to the patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This arrangement has worked out to be more cost effective for the establishments and many states are finding a shortage in CNAs. CNA training programs are available in all states and they have their own set of regulations. Programs providing CNA training in Mississippi have to be approved by the state and should be for a minimum duration of 75 hours.

Most of the programs giving CNA nursing assistant training in MS require the candidate to have a high school diploma or a GED certification.
