People of the state of Nebraska have a great opportunity to start in a fulfilling career in the health industry as a CNA nursing assistant. CNAs are increasingly in demand and their requirement is estimated to grow exponentially in the coming decade. There are many places giving CNA training in Nebraska and you will generally find these programs in the community colleges, vocational schools, long term care facilities and in some high schools. All programs giving CNA training in NE need the approval of the Nebraska Department of Health and must be instructed for a minimum duration of 75 hours.
CNA training in NE will consist of lectures in classroom, teaching of lab applications and practical hands-on training in patient care in a clinical setting. The practical training will be under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse.
