CNA’s, also known as Certified Nursing Assistants, are crucial to the operation of health care facilities. They can perform cna work in several types of health care setting such as hospitals, nursing homes, mental institutions, private homes, and others. They are supervised by nurses and provide patients with basic care services. They are heavily involved in the care of each patient and must, to the best of their ability, make sure that their patients physical and mental needs are both met. CNA work involves feeding patients, bathing, grooming, while also checking the patients vital signs and supporting them throughout their stay. It is typically their job to report the status of each patient to ensure that they are being taken care of properly. CNA’s constantly have to tend to each patients needs, meaning that they are on their feet for the majority of their shift. While working as a can, they are encouraged to create an ongoing relationship with patients.

Becoming a CNA requires that they have an ample amount of patience as well as physical fitness. They will be required to lift patients at times, so they must be somewhat fit in order to do so. CNA’s must be caring and friendly, so that the patient doesn’t feel abandoned in any way. It is also important that they are emotionally stable. As a CNA, they will be interacting with various types of patients. These patients suffer from a number of illnesses and problems, and witnessing this daily may affect certain people. Although this may be a negative aspect of the job, many people who enter this job absolutely love it. They love knowing that everyday they are caring for someones mother, or father, or sister, or friend, and are helping them to get better. CNA work involves helping patients to get better, so that they can hopefully return home to their friends and family.

A job as a certified nursing assistant is seen as an entry level position. CNA’s are typically aspiring nurses and trying to get a better feel for what the work environment is like. They will be able to observe the daily procedure of nurses and will be more comfortable once they enter into that job.

Although CNA’s are the assistants of nurses, they still play a vital role in the operation of a health care facility. They create a positive environment for patients, while also assisting the nurse to ease his/her workload.
